Subject: Supporting the Louis Segreto 26 Foundation’s Louis’ Tee Off for Golf

Dear Sandpiper Dragons:

For more than 20 years, the Sandpiper Dragons have proudly supported many charitable causes, a number of which are listed on our website. I’m writing to share an opportunity to support a very meaningful organization that is now expanding into the Carolinas.

The Louis Segreto 26 Foundation (LS26F) was founded 12 years ago on Long Island and has raised nearly $1 million to support children and young adults, age 26 and under, battling cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. The foundation was created in memory of Louis Segreto, honoring his courageous two-year battle with leukemia.

Our member Joe and his wife, Donna Maisano, lost their son 12 years ago, on his 25th birthday, and LS26F was established to honor his life and help other families facing similar challenges. The foundation is a registered 501 (c) (3) charity in both New York and South Carolina, and all net proceeds go directly to patients and their families. The Organization is led by a 15-member Board of Directors, all serving as 100% volunteers. No Directors or Committee Members receive Salaries or payments for their services.

I have joined the LS26F committee for their first inaugural Carolina event, which will be entitled Louis’ Tee Off for Kids, and will be held on Thursday, September 24th at The Dunes Golf and Beach Club. All net proceeds from this event will be given to the McLeod Health Foundation, which will distribute these funds directly to local families in need, living in North and South Carolina. I have attached a copy of their flyer for your review.

There will only be 300 raffle tickets sold, giving purchasers an excellent chance to win 24 premier prizes, including golf foursomes and vacations, and each ticket will entitle the purchaser to an invitation to an elegant cocktail reception where the winners will be selected. Notable prizes include trips to Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa and the Caledonia/True Blue Golf Club, both valued at over $3000. Ticket holders do not need to be present to win.

I have raffle tickets available and would appreciate your support. If possible, I would prefer tickets to be purchased directly through me rather than the website link on the flyer.

Please note, this is not a Sandpiper Dragons event; we are simply supporting a very worthy cause. We are only a small part of who will be invited and participating in the event.
